The Mackworth branch was a former Little Chef restaurant located on the A52 in Mackworth near Derby, Derbyshire.

The Little Chef at Mackworth first opened between 1972 and 1976. The Little Chef was positioned next to a single carriageway, meaning that the restaurant could be easily accessed by traffic travelling in both directions on the A52. Like many other Little Chef sites, the Little Chef was built alongside a filling station, meaning a good chance of attracting extra custom.

Built in Little Chef's flat-roofed, white painted house style of the early 70s, the restaurant typified Little Chef of this era. Some of the windows even faced into the forecourt of the filling station. It was quite a large 70s Little Chef, compared to others which were quite small.

Sadly in the 1990s/00s, the Little Chef at Mackworth left the site forever. Happily, the Little Chef was taken over by an Indian restaurant known as Spice 52. This was sadly very short lived but was replaced by another Indian restaurant known as Ivory. This was gone too and was later replaced by Sal's Diner. Sal's is still operating today.
